Fowa Day 2
The day started with some pretty cool speakers and covered some good topics. But the best WAS saved for last. Hearing Cal Henderson from Flickr speak was not only crazy informative, but amazingly entertaining. Between the pictures of cute kittens and Optimus Prime, he had everyone in the audience lovin’ it. He gave very technical examples and catered very much to development teams –I was personally lost. But none the less, one of the best presentations of the day.
Gary Vaynerchuk (above) from Wine Library TV gave an equally amazing presentation but on a whole different spectrum. “I’m not here to talk about numbers and stuff like that, I’m here to talk to the heart because thats more my style.”
The host of the Thunder show gave a very passionate presentation that impacted everyone in the audience. He is a very very passionate guy about what he is doing. He answers 1,200 e-mails a day, sends wristbands to his followers and just shows his peoples how much he cares* on a consistent basis.
“You gotta do it from the heart,” explained Gary and he pounded his chest.
*He passed out wine to the crowd, then taped a live show.

FOWA DVD Interview
As I walked around after the conference (I didn’t want to go back to snow), I ran into Elliot Jay Stocks and his camcorder.”Oh, YOU’RE the guy with the shirt!” I picked up the mic and did a little piece about the trip, this blog, and all of the supporters I had along the way.
